Boardmasters is not just a festival to watch chart topping, epic megastars like Florence + The Machine but also a place to discover some underground talent. Today, we’re highlighting the garage-psych rock sounds of the Cornish outfit KLEN. 

The band of rogues hail from the Penryn/ Falmouth area and are more than just a band; they’re a complete artistic unit.  

All members of the band have a unique style, wearing wizard-esque robes that flurry and flounder across stage.  

They are part of the growing Kernow Psych Society, run by band member Phil Ruskin. It’s a fabulous collection of artists, musicians, and general folks who are lovers of the wacky, the experimental, and the weird.  

KLEN are new to the local music scene but they’re already cementing themselves as the next bright lights in the area & following in the footsteps of established Cornish artists such as The Golden Dregs, Holiday Ghosts, and more.  

Their two singles ‘Down The Pen’ and ‘The Pipers’ boast the band’s guitar drive and simplistic, yet infectious sound in a delightful manner. If you’re looking for a little slice of wacky rock n roll during your Boardmasters experience, then we urge you to seek out KLEN.
