Monitoring & Accountability

Safety Advisory Group

All festival policies and Health & Safety documentation are written in advance of the event and go through several rounds of approval before being finalised. This includes reviews through SAG (Safety Advisory Group) meetings with members from all blue light services. The SAG scrutinise plans in relation to event safety and delivery and amendments are made to policies in advance of the festival where necessary.

Local Authority Monitoring

Council members such as EHOs visit the festival during its open period to ensure policies have been adhered to.

Boardmasters Community Hub

The dedicated Community Hub on the Boardmasters website as well as the community newsletter, ensures regular two-way communications with the local area and neighbours.

We have also had a part time Local Community Liaison on the team since 2024. We are working closely to develop even more ways of informing the local community, including local community newsletters, local community meetings (both feedback and informing sessions), posting in local social groups, local noticeboards and having a phone line + WhatsApp community during the event.

Sign up to our community newsletter to be the first to know when more details are announced.
