Monitoring & Accountability
All festival policies and Health & Safety documentation are written in advance of the event and go through several rounds of approval before being finalised. This includes reviews through SAG (Safety Advisory Group) meetings with members from all blue light services. The SAG scrutinise plans in relation to event safety and delivery and amendments are made to policies in advance of the festival where necessary.
Council members such as EHOs visit the festival during its open period to ensure policies have been adhered to.
The dedicated Community Hub on the Boardmasters website as well as the community newsletter, ensures regular two-way communications with the local area and neighbours.
In 2024 we also appointed a Local Community Liaison to join our Event Management team during the event. Following the success of this role, we’re developing this into a year-round position.
