Thank you to everyone who has submitted an application expressing their interest to work with us, we couldn’t do it without you!

Working at Boardmasters offers a unique opportunity to experience the festival from a new perspective. Join the festival team or become part one of our valued teams of volunteers who play a critical role in making sure Boardmasters can happen, whether its participating in one of our beach cleans, ticket scanning, assisting with guestlist or offering additional support customers with accessibility needs, we couldn’t do it without you!

 

PAID ROLES

No roles currently available

All of paid roles will involve hard work and not much time off during the festival period. If you’d prefer an alternative role which allows you to enjoy more of the festival, check our our volunteers section.

Previous festival or events experience is beneficial but not essential, if you’re enthusiastic, have good time and organisational skills then we’d love to hear from you. Jobs can last from a few days over the live event to longer term, depending on the job requirements.

Successful applications will be contacted by 31st July. Due to the vast number of applications received with a relatively small number of paid roles to fill, we won’t be able to respond to everyone.

 

 

 

BECOME AN ACCESSIBILITY ASSISTANT

The Accessibility Team is responsible for making sure that all d/Deaf, neurodivergent and disabled customers have an enjoyable experience whilst at the event.

To help us achieve this, we need committed, focused individuals who work well independently and as part of a team. The role incorporates a variety of tasks and the ability to be flexible with a smile. It is aimed at anyone interested in working in the events industry or those who would like to dedicate their time and skills in exchange for a ticket to a show.

Volunteers must be over 18 years of age.

Benefits of joining the Accessibility Team: 

  • Festival entry + camping at Boardmasters Festival 2024
  • Access to the staff campsite (or access campsite) is included – with hot showers! (You will need to bring your own tent / equipment)
  • One crew catering meal per shift completed
  • Whilst off-shift, spend your time enjoying the festival seeing your favourite acts or at the beach!
  • Make a positive impact on the festival experience of others, joining a friendly, like-minded team.

We are looking for volunteers who: 

  • Are able to be onsite from 5pm Tuesday 6th August to Monday 12th August 2024.
  • Are ready and willing to work outdoors (in pairs) in either the campsite, in the arena at our accessible viewing platforms or information point.
  • Will work a variety of shifts (in pairs) over the weekend (approx. 4 hours per day)
  • Are enthusiastic, have a positive attitude and a can-do personality!
  • Drivers licence is preferable but not essential.

 

Deadline for applications is July 31st 2024.

Once your application has been approved, a £100 deposit is required to secure your place, this will be returned to you in full once you’ve completed all required shifts after the festival.

If at any point after applying you are no longer available to volunteer, please let us know asap as there will be a long waiting list of eager volunteers to fulfil the role.

JOIN THE GREEN TEAM

Boardmasters and betternotstop are delighted to open applications for our Green Team on the stunning North Cliffs of Cornwall!

The Green Team will be onsite to continue supporting Boardmasters in achieving and improving all our objectives to reduce our impact on the Cornish coastline and drive our Leave Only Footprints campaign.

Boardmasters is taking place 7th – 11th August 2024. You will be required to be onsite from Tuesday 6th August to Monday 12th/Tuesday 13th August 2024.

As well as the three shifts throughout the festival, you will be required to work either a Sunday, Monday OR Tuesday shift.

If you are unavailable for any of these, please do not apply for the Green Team this year – we need all hands on deck during these times to have the most productive impact possible.

Volunteers must be over 18 years of age.

Benefits of joining the Green Team: 

  • Festival entry + camping at Boardmasters Festival 2024
  • Access to the staff campsite is included – with hot showers! (You will need to bring your own tent / equipment)
  • One crew catering meal per shift completed
  • One full festival day off, as well as time on other festival days before/after your shift, to enjoy the festival
  • Be part of something that’s changing the culture around festival waste and people’s attitudes towards how the site is treated
  • Help make everyone’s festival experience better for people and the planet!

We are looking for volunteers who: 

  • Are able to be onsite from 5pm Tuesday 6th August to Monday 12th/ Tuesday 13th August 2024.
  • Are ready and willing to work outdoors (in pairs) in either the campsite, Litterbond or on Beach Cleans
  • Will work a variety of shifts (in pairs) over the weekend (approx. 4 hours per day)
  • Will provide a feedback form by Friday 16th August
  • Are enthusiastic, have a positive attitude and a can-do personality!

Deadline for applications is June 30th 2024.

Once your application has been approved, a £150 deposit is required to secure your place in the Green Team, this will be returned to you in full once you’ve completed all required shifts and filled in our feedback form shared with you after the festival.

You will be informed by early July of the outcome of your application. If at any point after applying you are no longer available to volunteer, please let us know asap as there will be a long waiting list of eager volunteers to fulfil the role.

BECOME AN OXFAM STEWARD

Join us as a volunteer steward with Oxfam and play a crucial role behind the scenes. Our dedicated stewards help keep the festival running smoothly while creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all our festivalgoers!

As an Oxfam volunteer, you’ll camp in a staff campsite, enjoy the comfort of hot showers, and receive a food voucher for every shift. Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and phone charging facilities while joining a friendly, social, and welcoming community of volunteers. Whether joining solo or with friends, you’ll meet lots of new people and make memories that last a lifetime!

What makes this experience even more fulfilling is that each shift raises funds for Oxfam. By volunteering at Boardmasters, you’ll directly support Oxfam’s mission to empower communities worldwide, enabling them to live their lives free from poverty.

And with just 3 x 8.15-hour shifts over the whole weekend, you’ll have plenty of time off to enjoy the festival and everything it has to offer.
