Accessibility
Boardmasters is located on Trebelsue Farm, just off the stunning coastline of Cornwall and overlooking the picturesque Watergate Bay. While beautiful, the terrain contains a lot of grassland, rough land and hilly areas which can make access around the site difficult.
We endeavour to be a festival that everyone can enjoy, and to provide an event site which is as accessible as possible to everyone. The use of disabled access facilities is reserved solely for the use of permanently disabled customers and unfortunately not for those with broken legs, recent injuries and/ or pregnancies.
Boardmasters Festival is proud to offer services in line with Attitude is Everything live events charter, working closely with the team to gain a Bronze award.
Accessible Toilets: There will be accessible toilets (DDA) within the Main Arena and Accessible campsite, there will be some accessible toilets in the general campsites.
Accessible showers: These will be available in the Accessible campsite (FOC).
Accessible information points: Located in the Main Arena and Accessible campsite.
Assistance Dogs: We welcome any assistance dogs at Boardmasters, please email boardmastersaccessibility@visionninegroup.com.
Medical Services: We will publish site maps detailing medical service stations and first aid points before the event. You will be notified of this through our newsletter which you can sign up to at the bottom of this page. These will be located in both the Main Arena and campsite. Please familiarise yourself with these locations beforehand.
Parking: Parking tickets are available online, with Blue badge holders not needing to buy a festival parking ticket but must register for disabled parking on the Access requirement form. The accessible car park is limited so friends/ family arriving in separate vehicles will not be able to use this car park.
Viewing Platform: At the Main Stage we have a viewing platform with a stewarded and accessible toilet (DDA) located near the platform. For access to the platform please include this in your Access Request Form. This platform is reserved solely for our accessible customers + 1 guests or carer and unfortunately not for those with broken bones, recent injuries and/or pregnancies. Once approved you can collect this pass from the Access Info Point in the Main Arena.
Please note the platform works on a first come first serve basis and we may have to restrict access to avoid over crowding and safety issues.
We are working on getting viewing platforms at other stages, you will be informed before the festival which stages have viewing platforms.
Accessible guests also have use of the Fast track entry lane into Arena + Campsite.
Our Accessible campsite is dedicated to deaf and disabled guests and has its own car park, campervan area beside the campsite and designated entrance meaning you don’t have to queue up at the main entrance. Please note cars cannot be parked next to tents. We also have a dedicated team of stewards to make sure you have the best festival experience.
If you are being dropped off, this will be located at Blue gate and will have a short walk to the Accessible campsite. We will send out a map to show walking distances closer to the festival.
